There are so many of these silly abbreviations in the TTC (Trying To Conceive) community, so here’s a brief list to help you decipher WTF these IF bloggers are saying:

IF – Infertility
TTC – Trying To Conceive
DPO – Days Post Ovulation
AF – Aunt Flo (ie. your period)
POAS – Pee On A Stick
BD – Baby Dance (ie. having sex)
EWCM – Egg White Cervical Mucus (sign of ovulation)
BFN – Big Fat Negative; BFP – Big Fat Positive
DH – Dear Husband
Embies – embryos; Frosties – frozen embryos
U/S – ultrasound
IUI – Intrauterine Insemination; IVF – In Vitro Fertilization
Beta – Beta HCG levels, which confirm pregnancy; test performed 2 weeks after ovulation
2WW – Two Week Wait between ovulation and taking a pregnancy test
FET – Frozen Embryo Transfer
Stimming – Using drugs to stimulate ovaries
Wanda – Nickname for the transvaginal ultrasound wand
